Cheapest Domain Name Deal on eNom Central: $14.99 for a .co.uk domain name

We can’t figure it out. eNom Central is the second largest domain registrar in the world with over 7 million .COM domains registered… and they’re one of the most expensive companies to go with.  

The best deal we could find on eNom Central was $14.99 for a .co.uk domain name. But that’s about it.

Sure eNom Central sells a huge variety of domain extensions. (Some registrars only sell the most popular domain endings like .COM) But, most of their domain names go for $30. They charge $34.95 per domain name per year for the big five: .COM, .ORG, .NET, .INFO, and .BIZ.

If you’re paying more than $10 for a .COM domain name, you’re really paying too much. And seeing how GoDaddy and 1and1 Internet both sell .COM domain names for under ten dollars, we find it hard to figure out why people would go with eNom Central. 

Let’s put this in perspective. For the price of 3 .COM domains with eNom Central (3 x $34.95 = $104.85), you could get 9 domains with GoDaddy (9 x $11.44 = $102.96) or 11 domains with 1and1 Internet  (11 x $8.99 =  $98.89). In fact, if you went with 1and1 Internet, you would get free privacy as well. 

For $34.95, eNom Central doesn’t even offer free domain privacy with your domain name registration. Which means that you’re out an additional $8 per year for each domain name that you want to protect. (Otherwise your personal information that you use to register your domain will show up in the very public WHOIS database.)
